yesterday I had one of the best days of my whole life. I went to a music festival here in Portugal - Optimus Alive!09 -, where I saw METALLICA (for the second time), SLIPKNOT, MACHINE HEAD (for the second time as well), LAMB OF GOD and MASTODON. God, I had the time of my life!

I'm not really into Mastodon so I didn't pay much attention to their concert.

Lamb Of God was FUCKING AMAZING! I didn't think they would sound that great live. and god! their concert was full of energy. it was their first time here in Portugal & I think they loved it as much as we did.

after their concert, I met them & each of the band members autographed Wrath, their new CD - which I bought there. they were really awesome with us - me & .

I didn't see Machine Head's concert either.

Slipknot's was one of the best concerts I've ever seen! their live performance is incredible! I wasn't expecting that (it was my first Slipknot concert). I was almost dying from exhaustion at the end of the concert. I was jumping, at the same time I was being pushed by everyone around me, there were people constantly over me - crowd surfing. and Metallica were just next! I couldn't even stand on my feet. I was only thinking 'god! I have to get out of here!' but then I thought 'come on, it's Metallica! I'm here to see them!'. I didn't move anywhere.

Metallica's concert was way calmer than the previous ones. I almost couldn't see the stage and that sucked. I wasn't far away, but everyone around me was rather taller than me at the middle of the concert or so, I really couldn't stand on my feet, so I had to go to the baaack, where I sat down in the middle of the floor, looking at the giant screens (I couldn't see the stage). their concert was amazing, as usual, but I lost most of the enthusiasm when I came to the back. still, I loved it.

The Klaxons were there, too, and I'd love to have seen them. their concert was at another stage, at the same time as Slipknot's so I couldn't see them >.<
